The Puerto Rican Festival Syracuse promotes cultural awareness and understanding of the Puerto Rican heritage to the constantly growing Puerto Rican population in Syracuse and the Central NY region.
The festival showcases popular elements of the culture through musical performances by local and internationally renowned artists. “Bomba” and “Plena” groups demonstrate the richness and the beautiful colors of our native musical and dancing history.
This event also include: a volleyball tournament, dancing, kiosks selling typical Puerto Rican food and activities for children, art and crafts and interaction with native Puerto Rican’s character called “Vejigantes”.
Community partners, sponsors and vendors promote their corporate brand, services and/or products and have the opportunity to interact with the community.
